This little kid is amazing. This little kid is talented. After watching this video, i can see that Damon Harge already as a skill set that not many players get. His dribbling ability is truly out of this world for someone his age. we don't get to see him shoot anything other then jumpers in the paint, so we cant get a real good grasp of how good his shot is, but regardless he has 7 years to work on it, before he laces up for a college game. I see a lot of Allan Iverson in him, but i also see a lot of Sebastian Telfair.

Hurricanes Poised To Break Out

Lamar Miller is the reason why not landing Bryce Brown wasn't a big deal for canes' fans. After red-shirting last year and tearing up the 1st team D on the scout team, he is poised for a break out season. It's looking like Mike James is the starter with Damien Berry also receiving significant time in the back field. Coach Shannon has also stated that Lamar Miller will see "a good dosage of playing time." Miller could be the fastest player on the Canes' as we displayed in Monday's scrimmage, breaking out for a 83 yd td run. He is the threat that Miami hasn't had in the back field since McGahee. Miller will also be the Canes' top returner. Expect big things.

This is a list of the top 3 NBA point guards. Not looking at potential, not looking at sneaker deals, not looking at physical attributes, just looking at it from, 3 minutes to go in an elimination game, who you want running the show.

1. Chris Paul. The most complete point guard in the L. His ability to run a team has been blindingly apparent since his Demon Deacon days. There is no one better in the L at finding players, get open and you'll get the ball...in your chest. There hasn't been a better passer in the L since J. Kidd ran up and down with the Nets. CP3 has a sweet 15-18 footer to go along with his passing skills. For his short stature, at 6' 0", he can take finish at the rim against most all bigs too. CP3 is also a league leader in steals every year as well. Adds that with 4 rebounds a game, you've got the games most complete point god, I mean guard.
2. Steve Nash. Hands down the most complete offensive point guard in the L. The best pick and roll point guard in the L is a threat go for 30 and 10 every single night. This Canada native has also been a league leader in assists for the better half of this decade. Also shooting 90 something percent from the free-throw line for your career makes you dangerous in the final minutes of a close game. Easily could be number 1 if it wasn't for his defense, or lack there of.
3. Rajon Rando. There hasn't been a player over the last two years who's stock has risen more. He can do everything on a basketball court, except shoot. But when you the C's play, it's obvious who the motor is. He could be the most effective player in the L. We've been told our whole lives that the definition of a great player is "someone who makes everyone around them better." If this is true, the Rando is the greatest player in the al, since Shaq was in LA. The way he highlights his teams talents is extraordinary to watch. Also is reported that the is a string tied to his hand and the ball. Defensively speaking, he could make the NBAs 1st team. His ball pressure, long ants, quick hands, off th ball help is second to none in point guards across the L.

Shout out to the NBA's 2003 and 2004 scoring champion for finding a place to play next year. Tracy McGrady will be taking his talents to Detroit, Michigan next year for the veterans minimum. In the beginning of free agency, the 31 year old voiced his criteria for a team he wanted to sign with. He wanted a team that is contending for a championship, and to be able to be competing for a starting role.

"I'm willing to play any role that is offered."
McGrady told the Pistons.

A far drop from his original list of demands. All and all its good to see McGrady get a chance. He deserves one. He can still shoot the ball better then most of these young guys now-a-days. Wont cause a problem in the locker room or off the court.
I just question the pistons taking him when they are loaded at the swing position. With Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince starting, and Ben Gordan and Charlie Villanueva, Austin Daye and even Rodney Stuckey coming off the bench, I find it hard to see T-Mac getting any run.
I look at teams like the Lakers, the Orlando, and Milwaukee who would have been great fits for McGrady's limited skill set.

The New York Football Jets, are loaded. Plain and simple. This is a team that has to scare any offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, and any specialty teams coach. Lets just take a quick glance at their roster. They have arguably the best football player in the NFL for the past 6 years in LaDainian Tomlinson, the best corner combination in Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, the most dominant defensive tackle in the game in Kris Jenkins, the most dominant defensive player for the last ten years in Jason Taylor, (sigh catching my breath), the Super Bowl MVP from two years ago, a quarterback who only got better as the season went on last year. Phew!

The New York Jets are built to win playoff football. They were the number one running attack last year, and now throw Tomlinson into that mix? That's a running game to brag about, as they usually do. Lets also add a big time play making WR in his prime opposite of another big play WR and a tight end that's stock is on the rise too to help out the young quarterback. With Jerricho Cotchery, Laveranues Coles, and David Clowney, that's the deepest receiving core in the entire NFL. Mark Sanchez has more weapons than any QB in the NFL to help him grow, and you can expect big things this year form this offense.
That defense that would send nine on a regular basis got more play makers. Adding Antonio Cromartie and Jason Taylor is only going to add to the dominance of this defense. The things this team is going to be able to do on defense is flat out scary.
I'm not even going to get into the specifics and schematics about how good this team can be. The most interesting team in the NFL is actually pretty good, and they know it.

Last season being his rookie year, people weren't expecting much, especially after an uninspiring season in Greece. After dropping a double nickle on the Warriors, the L was officially put on noticed. Although he has to be more consistent with his play, he has shown flashes of why he was the number one player coming out of high school. Jennings is also a complete point guard with the ability to control a game with his passing skills. With the skills and the personality to match his game, defences have been put on noticed.
LaMarcus Aldridge: After averaging 18 and 8 last year he is poised for a break out year. With a healthy Greg Oden and Brandon Roy, no one will benefit more then Aldridge. Every season he has added something to his game. Now with a complete post game and a decent 15 footer, guarding him is going to take a whole team effort. LaMarcus looks to be a Bosh type of player, but he actually like to bang with the trees down low. With Portland looking to be a contender next year, look for LaMarcus Aldridge to be a force down low.

Michael Beasley: After a disappointing two seasons in Miami, he has a fresh new start in Minnesota. With the team that is in place for the T'Wolves look for Beasley to put up great numbers, like 22-10 type of numbers. Beasley is as natural scorer as the NBA has seen since Melo came into the L. After taking a back seat to Wade, he is going to get all the chances to show off his beautiful offensive game. Big time sleeper in fantasy play. Time for Bease to show off his insane athletic ability.

Stephen Curry: The definition of a ball player. After averaging 17 points as a rook, he also had games were he had 13, 14, and 15 assists. This son an NBA player is only getting better. After starting the season slowly, he caught his rhythm and learned the NBA game. with a full off season of training and adjusting, he is poised to have a break out year. In Don Nelson's offense he's going to get his looks. The next coming of Reggie Miller?

Shaq In Celtic Green?

Multiple outlets are reporting that Shaquille O'Neal is heading to the Boston Celtics. According to A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast SportsNet, the Celtics are "close" to signing free agent center Shaquille O'Neal to a contract. Reports are also coming out that it will be for the veterans minimum of $1.4 million. This must be a move to contend with the bigs of the playoffs. But considering that Dwight Howard averaged 20 and 12 against Shaq, he's going to be 39 next year, can he really help them get out of the East? People love saying teams need bigs to protect the rim? LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kobe, and Carmelo do not care if you have Godzilla at the rim, they're going to go an go hard. Shaq is desperately chasing another ring without Kobe to help him get it. I do not see any way this could work for the C's. Known for their stiff and quick rotating defense, I find it hard to believe Shaq is going to be able to keep up with the C's schemes. I look at teams like Dallas, Milwaukee, and Houston as best fits for Shaq.

iPhone Killer?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Research In Motion unveiled a new BlackBerry aimed at wooing consumers away from Apple's iPhone and other rivals, but analysts said the handset won't blow away the competition.

Even though the main features of the BlackBerry Torch, including a touchscreen and slideout keyboard, were well-known within the industry, investors registered their disappointment, driving RIM's Toronto-listed shares down 4 percent.

The Torch will go on sale in the United States on August 12 for $199.99 with a two-year contract -- about the same price as an iPhone. The new BlackBerry uses a revamped operating system and has a faster and easier-to-use Web browser.

Underscoring RIM's intention to compete head to head with the iPhone, the Waterloo, Ontario-based company will launch the phone in the United States with AT&T Inc, the same carrier that has exclusive U.S. rights to the iPhone.

Analysts at Tuesday's launch event in New York said the Torch does not represent a major advance but that its consumer-friendly features were enough to help RIM to catch up to rivals.

In preparation for the World Basketball Festival, Nike will be doing its best to "connect" the five boroughs of New York, celebrating hoops, culture, and their Air Force 1 pack that will contain a shoe for each borough. Nike has chosen ambassadors from each of the famous buroughs to show off each one's unquineness. Theophilus London starts off the mini series with his very own Brooklyn. Shout out to Nike for shooting a video like only Nike can.

2010 NFL Offensive and Defensive ROY.

Offensive R.O.Y.: Jahvid Best. He could be the next Chris Johnson. He has the moves, the size, and most importantly, the speed. He is also in a perfect situation to succeed. He most likely will be the second back in behind former UCF standout, Kevin Smith. Smith is a big bruising back and bringing in Best will be a great change of pace and should catch plenty of defenders off guard. The Detroit Lions will also be playing with second year QB, Matthew Stafford who will be heavily dependant on his running game as well. Jahvid Best is also expected to be used heavily in the return game as well. With his game breaking skills and numerous opportunities look for him to be on ESPN weekly.

Defensive R.O.Y.: Eric Berry. College football's best defensive player last year is poised to continue his success into the NFL ranks. Berry is a big time hitter with great athleticism too. He has all the attributes that you can not teach in a safety. He can be the ball hawk needed for today's air it out passing games, or he can come up and stuff the run as good as a linebacker. He is also on a team that will be giving up some big plays, so he will have ample opportunities to make plays himself.

Swizzy and Keys held a private ceremony for close friends and family on Saturday evening in a home by the Mediterranean Sea. Dr. Deepak Chopra presided over the nuptials, according to People, who also got the first shot of the couple after their wedding. The couple is expecting their first child together, though the child's sex has not been announced as of yet. It's the first marriage for Keys, 29, and the couple's first child together. While the newlyweds don't know the gender of their baby, Beatz (real name: Kasseem Dean, 31) says the addition of a child will be nothing short of magical. The bride wore a Grecian-inspired Vera Wang dress and carried a bouquet of purple calla lilies. The groom was decked out in a Tom Ford tuxedo.

Seven years ago you could turn on the 11 0'clock Sports Center and there are a few things you're guaranteed to see. Shaq dunked on a few helpless big men while doing 32 and 13. Iverson shooting 13-35, but he dragged his team to a close victory. And T-Mac scoring 30+ but in a losing effort. All NBA All-Stars. All the best player on their respective teams. and now all unemployed. Its the ugly truth about athletes today. A different case for each one, all still sad stories. Shaq is the story of an old guy who still believes he can do what he did in his mid 20s. Its hard for most athletes to accept the fact that they simply cant do what they used to do for their whole life. Iverson can still play, somewhat. But his story is the one of that super star who has more baggage then under a Grey Hound. From his high school days, trouble seemed to follow Iverson. He always was applualded for his tough and gritty play. But he is now being looked upon as a has been with too much risk. Tracy McGrady is all of 48 years old. Well he moves like one. Rumors swirl around the NBA offseason like nothing.


But one rumor seems to be truth. T-Mac can hardly move around now-a-days. These same sediments have came out of the Lakers camp, the Bulls camp, and obviously the Knicks camp too. Three Super Stars past their prime. Three different stories of how sports goes. Unlike Shaq and Allen Iverson, tracy McGrady has been reporting that he is willing to take a lessor role on a team to be signed. Rumors are that he is really interested in the Miami Heat. The bulls make the most sense considering they still need some scoring at the shooting guard. A role they never really replaced since Ben Gordon signed with the Pistons. It will be interesting to see where these once super stars will land. Just some more of the twists and turns of the Summer of 2010.

Wiz Khalifa has officially signed with Atlantic Records. It's speculated for Wiz Khalifa to ink a deal there would be a $5MM to $10MM signing bonus probably shelled out. Wiz Khalifa's independent Hip Hop music value is already in the millions. The Pittsburgh, PA rapper topped iTunes with album "Deal or No Deal" and could create a Youtube partnership that's worth 6 figures per year. Videos "This Plane" and "Ink My Whole Body' each have over 1 million views. Throw in the fact he's able to sell out venues and sell merchandise, then estimates can really get crazy. "Wiz Khalifa is worth millions without a question. Not sure if a recording artist could sign him because he's so big as himself. Most artists turned CEOs look to coach, transform, and co-sign a rapper or singer. That factory format creates their whole image, not really the people in the streets. Wiz Khalifa pretty much got a deal, dropped a deal, then just took over independently. Radios aren't playing him like they did Drake which says he has a more authentic fan base," Says CKHID founder Rodrick Rainey.
