Lamar Miller is the reason why not landing Bryce Brown wasn't a big deal for canes' fans. After red-shirting last year and tearing up the 1st team D on the scout team, he is poised for a break out season. It's looking like Mike James is the starter with Damien Berry also receiving significant time in the back field. Coach Shannon has also stated that Lamar Miller will see "a good dosage of playing time." Miller could be the fastest player on the Canes' as we displayed in Monday's scrimmage, breaking out for a 83 yd td run. He is the threat that Miami hasn't had in the back field since McGahee. Miller will also be the Canes' top returner. Expect big things.

Brandon McGee was one of the top players coming out of high school two years ago. the beginning of his freshman year was littered with mental mistakes. Towards seasons end, you could see the level in his game rise. At 6'1" 180 pounds, the comparisons to Antrel Rolle fit his statue, and hopefully his game as well.
