Stepahn Morris Comes Through.
The true freshman Stephan Morris came through when his team needed him the most. In today's game against Maryland, with 82 yards to go and the season on the line. In his first career start Morris threw for 286 yards with 1 td and 2 int. More important then numbers, Stephan Morris showed poise. No fumbles, no delay of game penalties, no freshman mistakes. The ints were the only thing you can take away from this game where you say ok he's a freshman. He looked like her was back at Pace High school in Miami making plays. On a crucial 3rd and 11, he used his feet to come up with 16 big yards. It was that play where i knew he was going to win the game for us. And on the next play, he did. A beautiful 35 yard strike to Lenarad Hankerson for the winning score. But it's pictures like this one i have below that makes me the most excited. He's a leader. He has the attention of everyone around him. Fifth year seniors, juniors, and freshman are all conveyed in this picture, and all are looking at Miami's future star. Maybe the future isn't all that dim after all Miami fans.

RONDO MVP

First of let me say I know I know I know its only one week into the season. I know He can't shoot, that good, or at all. I know he has super stars all around him. But this guy is still a complete wizard. There are few players in the NBA that have the ability to make something out of nothing. To make the miraculous play. Rando has all of it and more. Consistently a league leader in steals and assists. A first team all defense last year, and looks like he will hold down that spot for another 7 years at least for the point guards. On the offensive side of the court, he's the engine that powers their Big Three. Everybody and their dog knows hes not
shooting and hes going to pass. And he's still the most effective passer in the L. He makes Ray Allen a better shooter. PP a better shooter. And all the big men feast of his drive and dishes to them for easy dunks. He controls games without scoring. I've never seen anything like it. Yes Dwight Howard is a best on the defensive end. But Rondo controls the pace of the game by how he decides to push the ball or not, or by if he decides to pressure the opponents bringing the ball up. He's truly a unique player and yes yes yes i know its only the first week of the season but Rondo has my vote for MVP. I'm not saying. I'm just saying.
Nike "The Love"
Ask any athlete what drives them the most? What they remember the most from their playing days? It's seeing the deflated face of your opponent when they realize you have beaten them. It's seeing each other in the off season and bragging how they can't beat you. It's that corner they played college ball with that they scored on. One upping your friends. Sneakerheads are wired the same way. It's upping your friends at school when you have the newest pair of J's, the rarest releases that only came out in China. This is a beautifully done video that shows how parallel these two worlds are. Nike, as usual, does a great job showing love to the underground culture of sneakerheads.

UCF --> Big East

There have been reports that the UCF football team will join the Big East along with TCU. If UCF were to join the Big East I predict that with in 5 years they'd be in the top 25. With already one of the biggest schools (by student population), a great stadium, and great college atmosphere this school is on the brink of emerging onto the football scene. The difference with UCF and USF is that UCF has a great head coach and better facilities. Also being in the middle of the best high school football in America, they will get kids from the tree counties and the kids from north florida because of their location. UCF joining the Big East will be exciting and fun to watch. But as i've said for years, there should be The Florida's 10 Conference consisting on Miami, FSU, UF, UCF, USF, FIU, FAU, Bethune Cookman, FAMU, and Jacksonville State. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Randy Randy Randy.

With the release of the greatest wide out the NFL has ever seen, he's virtually a free agent in the middle of the season. That's so mind blowing to think that this guy could end up with the Jets, Steelers, Chargers, Chefs, or back with the Pats? This is pretty mind blowing. Releasing Moss further proves to me that Brad Childress is top 5 worst coaches in the NFL. Trading for him was a spectacular move. But you should've known what you were getting. Better yet, you should have listen to the man when he told you how to beat the Pats. Now you cut him? But u keep the even bigger diva in Favre? Childress is done after this year and he knows it so he's just trying desperately to save his toosh now. Good Luck.
But now where could this dynamic receiver go? My knee jerk action to this was "oh great the Jets definitely are going to be all over this one." And it wouldn't surprise me if they did. I know i would if i was the big fat guy in NY. Imagine, Moss, Holmes and Edwards and oh yea LT in the back field? With that D? Jesus Christ that hurts as a Dol-Fan to think about; I could only imagine witnessing it against the fins. How about the Saints? At 5-3 they have a good record but have been a little bit disappointing as their passing attack doesn't resemble last years killer form. Moss with Brees? No? How about the Chargers? While Philip Rivers is already having an MVP type season with his biggest wide out, think about adding Randy? Adding randy and signing Vincent Jackson? That team would be better then The Greatest Show on Turf. Where ever he lands is going to change the entire season. It'll change an entire team. All these things are laughable to think about. But it could all happen. Thanks to your boy Brad Childress. Dumb ass.

Trading For A PG?

Word around town is that Riles is at it again. This time he's looking to trade for a point guard who can shoot it and play tough defense. Names like Daniel Gibson and Jarrett Jack are floating out there. So, a player from the Toronto and a player form Cleveland? Good luck with that one Riles. I would like to throw a few other names out there that I think would fit nicely in this team.
1. Baron Davis. Big tough guard who desperately needs a new place to play. Can shoot the ball from anywhere and is not scared of the moment. People might say hes out of shape, and doesn't really care, but I think its the ladder. He might be easier to get then you think. New Warriors management has been publicly on the record for not being too happy with him already. Inserting B-Diddy in this team he gets re energized and comes back to old form. I guarantee it.
2. Luke Ridnour. Not the biggest, strongest, or fastest, but is a tough player who will hit open shots. As of today he's averaging 13, 5, 5 for Minn.. could come cheaper then actual value due to the fact that Minn. also has Johny Flynn, Bassy and Ricky Rubio under contract, the point guard glut might make it easier for them to give away one, a good one.
3. Louis Williams. The Sixers are rebuilding. Rebuilding teams tend to be more willing to part with talent for draft picks. Williams is a tough griddy player they Heat need to play D against Rondo, Jameer, and Fisher, and he always brings knock down shooting with ability to make plays in the open floor too.
Those are my top 3 candidates that the Heat actually have a chance at getting. There are other players such as Blazers Rudy Fernandez. Not a Point guard, but imagine him running the floor with Wade and James. Rudy has also shown the ability to knock down shots from deep as well. He'd fit right in this culture of defense and running. Chauncey Billups would be the most perfect fit i can think of. A veteran who knows how to win. A knock down shooter with great leaderships skills. He is a Pat Riley guy. He also won't be playing in Mia. I personally feel like this guys could make the Heat so much better and bring more to the table then Arroyo or Chalmers. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
